Beef and Dairy Fly Control Guide

This guide provides details on the types of flies which may be found on or around beef and dairy cattle. Certain Bayer products have been approved to help control these flies on and around beef and dairy cattle.

What you'll see:

  • House Fly: Flies on structures and animals and around feed
  • Stable Fly: Flies on lower parts of legs; cattle bunching
  • Horn Fly: Flies on backs and sides of cattle; tail swishing
  • Face Fly: Flies on animal's face around eyes and muzzle

Breed in:

  • House Fly: Manure and/or moist, decaying organic materials
  • Stable Fly: Manure mixed with moist, decaying organic materials
  • Horn Fly: Fresh, undisturbed manure
  • Face Fly: Fresh, undisturbed manure
